Have you ever travelled solo? I hope you have and I feel extremely proud to announce that finally I have completed my first solo trip and can’t wait to tell you’ll everything about it. Being self-obsessed may sound like a negative connotation but for me this self-obsession has done wonders and it kept on pinching me to take this step and post this trip I have fallen in love with my own company more than ever.
Zostel, Panchgani will always hold a very special place in my heart.
The two days spent at this beautiful place (which is an understatement), meeting different set of people interacting with them, sharing our travel goals, aspirations and doing all kinds of crazy stuff and without realising I ended up making such great friends who were strangers until just two days prior.
The journey started on a very exciting note as I left my house with mixed feelings of nervousness and thrill as I had no clue what was in store for me as this was going to be my first such experience. Being a person who has always been in her comfort zone in life, this was something far too different. I travelled in a “ST” Bus which was the first highlight of this trip. I was getting a bit too irritated while I sat in there and the window panes did little to prevent the scorching heat from pricking my skin. But now, if I come to think of it even that experience did add the necessary flavour to the trip since the decision to travel like this was impromptu which just went with the flow.
The view from my dorm was spectacular. Each and every corner of this Zostel gives a serene view that makes you fall in love with nature over and over.
I can still recollect that very first night when we were all awake till 5:30 am chit-chatting, laughing, singing (in my not so great voice😜) with these new buddies in my life.
Though I am back but I still get those nostalgic chills remembering those moments at Zostel. By Zostel I meant two amazing hosts Sanju and Chetan. Recently one of my friend visited Zostel and I came to know that these guys were telling my stories to him about what all I did. These were the kind of imprint I left on that place and vice versa.
What all I did??
Here it is
So i climbed up one of the containers without any support just to click some really good pictures
That moment up there was stunning in simple words. It was so calm and I still crave and day-dream about those solitary moments.
And when i came down, to my surprise there were people standing who started applauding. All these things might sound very small but they are whole bunch of amazing memories to me.
Now coming to my second day at Zostel. Like i really don't know where to start and end this.
This day finally people came in my dorm and you won’t believe as soon as they came we started talking like we knew each other since ages and within no time we just knew this is going to be an amazing trip.
This trip became more memorable when after a long time I had gone for trekking with Zostelites and faced my fear of heights and one of my friend was having so much of fun seeing that 😀.
This particular night I will never forget.
I have named this night as - one crazy night full of music, dancing on songs from english tracks to hindi and even bhojpuri, playing dumb charade which i think i could only get at Zostel Panchgani
It is people who make a place memorable and a trip worthwhile.
This solo trip has set my expectations far too high but I am also sure that wherever I will go will make even greater such memories and new friends along my journey.
Zostel Panchgani this is for you-
You have made me a true traveller and now only travelling will make me content in this life
PS:- Zostel you have taught me how to Backpack 😊
It’s amazing how some of the most uncomfortable moments can turn into the most memorable parts of a trip! Traveling out of your comfort zone really brings out the best experiences, even if it’s in the heat of the moment. If you ever find yourself in Spain, especially near Sant Carles de la Ràpita, I found a great place with an airport shuttle option through https://hotelin.com/hotels/Spain/Catalonia/Sant-Carles-de-la-Rapita/Airport-shuttle that could make your travels smoother.
